Declaration
01:40
|
|
||
This is our declaration
Staying true to what we believe
We're not here to fucking deceive
With hearts on our sleeves we give it all
No boundaries here
Just heart and soul
No divisions, no exclusions, no ego's, and no delusions
Open minds and opportunity, with open eyes and positivity
We will break the mould
This is our declaration
Give it all – declaration
Break the mould - declaration

Ambivalence
01:43
|
|
||
Every single day, I see the same mistakes
I see the same old problems, that always make me think
How can we stand by, and how can we reject
That the issues we face are the ones that we create
Have we done enough, have we done enough
Every person has a part to play, as everyone has a voice
It’s whether or not we take up the fight, or let others take the struggle
First to point the finger, and last of all who follow
And for all of the wrong reasons, we chastise those who lead the way
Have we done enough, have we done enough
We only have ourselves to blame for our own ambivalence
We only have ourselves to blame for our own inactions

Be The Change
01:39
|
|
||
We are damaged, beyond repair
We stand for nothing, we don’t even care
A breaking point in our culture
That's drowning in disrepair
Never dreamed about a perfect world
Never thought we had it right
Things have gone from bad to worse
Is there and end in sight?
Broken promises and shattered dreams
Empty threats and failed schemes
Hollow words and clouded judgement
Shallow motives, lacking substance
Look around and see the ways
Be the fix, be the change
Don’t run and hide, do or die
Turn the tide, fight the fight
We need to set the standard,
Be the change we want to make
For years we have been saying that we don’t care,
Maybe it’s time that we, do our share
If we don't even care
No one will give a shit
Take pride in what we have
Be the change we want to make

Bleeding Hearts
02:17
|
|
||
At some point we all have to choose
How much we give
And contribute
The choice is ours to make
To stand for something
Or stand for nothing
And always be left wondering
What could have been
I’d prefer to have this bleeding heart
Than to have no conscience at all
At least this heart will help me through dark times
When everything else fails
It’s not a weakness, to show passion,
It’s a strength,
To show commitment
And dedication
We should always strive
To make an impact
To leave a mark, on the world
Through our fortitude
These bleeding hearts
Will help us through
Stand for something, or stand for nothing
The choice is up to you

Onward / Upward

Redefined
Looking for progress
Stagnating for far too long
Obstacles at every turn
Relevance
Reveals itself in time
Frustration and apathy
Desperation driving me
Give me the strength to
Overcome
Cancel out the pressure, push away the fear
Give me the strength to
Overcome
Give me a reason to believe again
Perspective forms my clarity
Stepping back to breathe
Confronted by relief
Realization , compounds and reveals
There is another way
To balance out the pain
Taking each day as it comes
Taking each day as it comes
I will make it count
Every day that I’m still here
I won’t take my life for granted
Taking two steps forward
And never looking back
Eyes firmly on horizons
Not buried in the past
With resolve, and a sense of anticipation
I’m ready for tomorrow, ready to make it count
This is the first day
Of the rest of my life
Onward and upward
I’ll make it count
This is the first day of the rest of my life

Determination Calls
01:39
|
|
||
Always been encouraged
To set the bar high, go after my goals
Never accept, anything less
To put the best foot forward
Day after day
I don’t want to have regrets
When I look back, at the life I've made
I’m struggling each day
Just to stay afloat
Landscapes that keep changing
Are testing my resolve
I will avoid the pitfalls
No matter what the cost
The focused mind see’s clearly
When determination calls
Life isn't always easy
I’m finding out, the hard way
That nothing of worth comes lightly
Temptation is everywhere
To take, the easy option
But through all, the hard work
I will find my true purpose
Keep moving forward
Goals in plain sight
Always trust your heart

Promises Made
01:59
|
|
||
Accountability, and transparency
Is all we’ve ever wanted
Humility not headlines
And actions, over words
Complacency breeds acceptance
In these Troubled times that yield darkness
More Questions are left than answers
Promises made, are not words that fade
Promises made, will not be forgotten
Achievement at any cost
Performance based, on results
But history reflects fact
What legacy are we aiming for?
Problems are not solved
By cutting back on resource
Scare tactics and silence
How much longer can we suffer
The public must take action, now!
Promises made, are not words that fade
Promises made, will not be forgotten
The agenda’s becoming clearer
We can only fear, what ‘s next to come
With liars as our leaders
Promises made, are not words that fade
Promises made, will not be forgotten

Reach Out
02:24
|
|
||
Reach Out
To all your mates
Reach Out
Every Single day
Sometimes the smallest words, carry the most weight
Reach Out
And light the way
All it takes, is one person to listen
That can make, all the difference in the world
All it takes is a few words, and a little sympathy
To provide some comfort and show some clarity
Just remember
That you’re not alone
Just remember
That we’re here for you
These simple words, when paired with understanding
Can be the strength
That pulls your loved ones through
This affirmation brings
This affirmation brings
This affirmation brings new hope
That things are finally getting better
Reach Out
To all your mates
Reach Out
Every Single day
Sometimes the smallest words, carry the most weight
Reach Out
And light the way

Asylum
03:03
|
|
||
Since when was it a crime, to seek a better life
If we turn our backs, we are condemning the helpless
This nation has a responsibility, to the help those in need
People’s lives hang in the balance
While we argue about cultural decline
Have some fucking heart
For the less fortunate
Who want nothing more than to live free
Since when was it a crime, to seek a better life
If we turn our backs, we are condemning the helpless
This nation has a responsibility, to the help those in need
No crime has been committed,
Yet detainment awaits, for
Those who dare cross the waters, in search of asylum,
Enough is enough, we want basic human rights, and equality for all
We forgot about the people
Where was our empathy
Too concerned about economy
Racism dressed as policy

One World
02:45
|
|
||
Move on
Let’s learn from past mistakes
And learn to live as one civilized race
We are all alike, yet there is hierarchy
That exists within all societies
Since when did skin colour make the man?
And dollar signs mean more than helping hands
Break free from the binds of yesterday
Shape a better world, let’s start today
One world without border, nothing to hold us back
We’re all in this together, one nation fighting back
One world without border, nothing to hold us back
One world for all to prosper, one world for everyone
We've seen it all before
Lines drawn where there were none before
We are all part of the human race
A concept lost on most of us
Together we can prosper
And together we can achieve
Only when we walk to together
Will we ever find peace?
One world without border, nothing to hold us back
We’re all in this together, one nation fighting back
One world without border, nothing to hold us back
We’re all in this together, one nation fighting back
One world for all to prosper, one world for everyone
One world
One world for all to prosper
One world for everyone

Turning Points
02:09
|
|
||
Something, has got to give
A test of character, too common faced
Turning points, reached in my life
Have forced this change in attitude
That’s held me back
It’s, not walking away
It’s, making a call
To, find more meaning
Find what I’m looking for
Things, got out of hand
I’ve, been pushed too far
Now, I’m pushing back, and
Taking back control
This, is my chance
To, make bold decisions
On how I will continue
To face each day
Something, has got to give
A test of character, too common faced
Turning points, reached in my life
Have forced this change in attitude
That’s held me back
I must stay true
To Myself
Rise above the surface, or drown in the negative
These defining moments, will shape the future
Sometimes we lose sight of the balance
Don’t be consumed, by the things that do not matter
Find solace where you can

Closing The Gap
04:11
|
|
||
I believe, that the stats say it all
The Indigenous nation of our country
Has been kept down, for far too long
Sure the PM said sorry, but really, what did that change
When the attitude, of society, remained the fucking same
Their a problem, a pest, a burden, a shame
This view from the majority, who refuse any blame
We took their land, and we stole their kids
Yet we don’t have compassion, and most don’t give a shit
And pretend it never happened
Stand up, old Australians
Let your true, colours shine
We’re closing the gap
And it’s about fucking time
Literacy rates, are still in decline
While thousands of others are, living below the poverty line
Life expectancy, is still 10 years adrift
And the most basic of health care, doesn’t even exist
With one in twenty, headed for prison
And just as many without, high school education
an indictment in itself
We have a white culture, that doesn’t understand
That we have failed the true owners, of our homeland
Stand up, old Australians
Let your true, colours shine
We’re closing the gap
And it’s about fucking time
Acknowledgement starts here
We’ll heal together
At the end of this tunnel
We will find the light
Segregation will crumble
If we all unite
The tunnel is long
We will find that light
We will not fall
Our generation will fight
It’s up to us
Closing the gap
On every front
It's up to us
